Counselling Philosophy: My counselling philosophy is grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep belief in the power of understanding our personal histories.
I guide clients through a reflective life-review process to explore where they have been, what has shaped them, and where they want to go.
Drawing on my background in Public Ethics, disability ethics, psychology, and palliative care, I help clients make meaning of their experiences.
My palliative care training allows me to support people through complicated health challenges and offer end of life emotional care.
Depending on preferences, I can work from a secular viewpoint or through a multifaith spiritual lens including a 12-step perspective.I believe healing happens when people feel seen, valued, and empowered.
By reframing difficult experiences, uncovering strengths, and examining long-standing patterns, clients can create new perspectives that support emotional healing, purpose, and growth.
My work is inclusive and attuned to the needs of individuals and/or family members, navigating addictions, complex PTSD, ADHD, Autism, major life transitions, chronic illness, grief, and identity-related challenges.
I am committed to culturally informed care.I especially like to work with neurodivergence as I am a proud clinician living with neurodivergence and other disabilities.
