Counselling Philosophy:

My counselling practice is grounded in a person-centred, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach. I work collaboratively with clients to help them improve their quality of life, navigate life transitions, heal from trauma, and build meaningful recovery from addiction.

I use an integrative (eclectic) therapeutic approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities including ACT, CBT, DBT, EMDR, family systems therapy, and motivational interviewing, while also incorporating mindfulness and contemplative practices, including Buddhist-informed meditation training.

I have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals, including adults with ADHD, helping clients better understand how their minds work and designing strategies that align with their strengths.

My work often focuses on helping people design their own recovery, whether from substance use, trauma, burnout, or major life transitions. Together we identify patterns, build emotional regulation skills, and develop sustainable goals that support long-term wellbeing.

I strive to create a supportive, respectful, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring their experiences, reconnecting with their values, and moving toward meaningful change.
