Thank you for considering me in your search for a therapist. It takes courage to reach out in a time of need. It is my belief that the most meaningful therapy is grounded in a strong therapeutic alliance, which is the relationship between therapist and client. In other words, the fit between therapist and client is one of the most important elements of the overall process. I strive to maintain a practice that is authentic, transparent, and honouring of the courage it takes to arrive in therapy.
I offer individual counselling services to youth (ages 10+) and adults in addition to conducting psychoeducational assessments. My practice specializes in working with anxiety and depression, questions and considerations regarding sexual orientation and/or gender identity, grief, and challenges within interpersonal relationships.
I am currently the only counsellor specializing in individual teen counselling.
My approach to therapy is integrative and rooted in both person-centred and narrative methodologies, which allows the therapeutic process to be tailored to your specific needs. I strive to create a warm and inclusive space that fosters collaboration, discussion, and self-exploration. I invite you to feel empowered in sharing your stories as you move toward your goals and an increased sense of well-being. Regardless of your circumstances, needs, or desires – it would be my privilege and pleasure to accompany you along your therapeutic journey.
I work under the supervision of Dr. Diana Garcia, Ph.D, C. Psych. #4689 (Capital Psychological; 130 Terence Matthews Cres., Kanata, ON. K2M 0J1, 613-599-7709) for the ongoing development of my professional and ethical learning and for supervision of psychoeducational assessments. I consult with my supervisor regarding my clients on a monthly basis. The receipt you will receive will be in the name of Dr. Garcia and the counselling services will be provided by me.
The regular fee for counselling is $150 (plus HST, where applicable).
