Philosophy
My approach to therapy is a holistic one, catering to the needs of each patient as everyone is different. I work with individuals, couples and families with emphasis on a family systems approach. However, I do integrate various models that will meet the clients’ needs, such as cognitive behavioral theory, attachment theory and psychodynamic theory. My office is a safe space where confidentiality meets acceptance, understanding and support to each person’s concerns.
Some of the issues I focus on are depression, anxiety, communication skills’ building, school truancy, pre and post-marital conflict, attention-deficit disorder, intimacy issues and any day to day life concerns. When you come to your first session, we will discuss your reasons for taking the step to come and we will work together to create a treatment plan that will suit your needs. We will talk about what works best for you and how to continue our upcoming sessions. Every step we take we will take it together. I am a participant in your journey and can provide you with the tools to manage your concerns in alternate ways, should you be willing and open to explore them. I am here to provide outmost care to what it is you need to explore and accomplish.
